Well after drying out and stocking up on groceries, etc
(very expensive) we headed north towards the major lakes our destination was
around Granna. We stopped a few times to
view the glassworks (Glass blowing) we ended up in a place called Savsjo, a wee
town again on the lake.
Mildred had been running all day like a bag full of turds,
she stalled every time we deceralated and sputtered and farted. We had just serviced her yesterday!
We (Daryl) looked into the engine bay at camp, and found the
auto choke at the base of the distributor was loose so he tightened it, then he
changed the idle, still it ran wrong, finally he found an electrical plug was
off the bottom of the coil – most likely knocked off when he checked the points
yesterday – he fixed it and WOW we were away laughing.
Yesterday we headed north to a place called Vadstena, along
the way we stopped at Granna a lovely wee village specialising in rock candy.
After setting up camp we biked to town (3 km ea) again a
lovely village with quaint shops, as we wandered along to the castle and found
a classic car display, Daryl’s paradise.
We later biked home, cooked dinner and talked to the locals
who were very impressed with both Mildred and our journey.
Tomorrow we head towards Norway. ETA 2 days.
